BENEFITS 101 | Join us to learn how people with disabilities can build financial security without jeopardizing benefits | A Merakey AVS Initiative
Individuals with disabilities rely on a variety of government benefits for supports and services. It is important for individuals and those who support them to understand how earned and unearned income might impact benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income(SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Medicaid Waivers (Home and Community Based, Community Living Waiver, Person Family Driven Supports) and other subsidies. In order to make informed decisions about their financial futures it is important for individuals and those who support them to learn the basics of benefits information. For those receiving SSA benefits, we realize that fear and misunderstanding may often keep people from working or making life changes.

This learning session is applicable to people receiving services in Pennsylvania.
